Education
From the Post 911 GI Bill to the VA's Vet Tec Program, there are a multitude of education assistance options available for veterans. Our team helps vets identify, assess and enroll in schools that suit their needs.
Disability Benefits
Veterans who have incurred a service-related injury or illness may be entitled to disability compensation. Our program directors are subject matter experts in the realm of disability and benefits. We will work alongside veterans - guiding them through obtaining any available benefits.
Mental Health
The mental health of an individual encompasses many facets. It is a person's emotional, physical and social wellbeing - which affects their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Mental health problems can have an impact on how people react to situations or people.. In order to ensure this doesn't happen, we offer many resources for Veterans including those outside of the VA - helping people find out about the services they need at the right time.
Business Owners
Starting your own business after transitioning back into civilian life from the military can be a difficult process, but thankfully there are plenty of benefits available for those who qualify. As qualifying veteran small business owners ourselves, we’ve spent years researching and accessing programs that offer loans, grants, partnerships and more in order to make it easier on our Veterans.
1 on 1 Counseling
Each time someone participates in this program, we will pair them up with a program director who can guide them through identifying the benefits they are qualified for and what resources best align with their goals. We'll work closely with these resource providers so that every Veteran has an easy process throughout the duration of the program.
Mortgage Assistance
Mortgage assistance programs are also offered through state and local governments. These programs offer services to local homeowners according to state laws, and include assistance such as refinancing, mediation services, loan counseling, financial aid, free legal counseling, and foreclosure postponement.
Legal Assistance
There are many avenues of life where retaining legal counsel proves to be extraordinarily beneficial. Many times, lawyers and legal professionals provide their services outside of litigation or courtrooms - helping clients draft contracts, agreements, wills, other types of documents etcetera. Legal advice is also required for everything from drafting complicated financial dealings to personal needs such as handling child custody disputes. We'll help the veteran in finding a lawyer who can best suit his/her needs no matter what type of challenge he/she might be up against.
Financial Counseling
You don't need to deal with mounting debt or putting money away for college or retirement alone - BTG Development has financial counselors readily available. With these trained professionals, you can discuss your questions and get advice on how to address the problems affecting veterans at no additional cost - other than just setting up an appointment.
